spy!

leave a comment »

everyone has the right to their privacy. if i ever find out that a close friend of mine is actually not a friend but a spy sent by my parents to keep an eye on me, i would be furious at my friend becuase all this time he was not being a true friend but only a stranger in disguise. however i would be more furious at my parents because if they feel that i am upto something unacceptable they should have talked to me directly instead of involvong a third person.

INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM-ETHICAL OR UNETHICAL

leave a comment »

whether investigative journalism is ethical or unethical depends on what is being investigated and the reason behind the investigation. if an investigative reporter brings out to the public’s eye something that has nothing to do with the national interest and is purely a revenge then it is unethical. however if it is something that might affect the society then it is absolutely fine to bring out some hidden secrets.

Independence in Journalism..?

leave a comment »

The spread of corporate power in the media is a serious threat to quality, independent journalism. Distinguished writers and editors who made their names in the newsrooms some twenty or thirty years ago despair over the loss of mission and conscience in corporate-owned journalism.

But beyond the critique of these concerned individuals a new collective struggle is emerging, about professional standards under increasing media focus which gives way to a better confrontation between journalists and their employers. There are examples of this struggle across the world. In Canada, standards in broadcasting policy are the subject of heated dispute between media staff and regulators; in Germany, Europe’s largest  journalists’ union has launched a national campaign to combat it’s ‘dumbing down’ (a concept that involves a claim about the simplification of culture, education, and thought, a decline in creativity and innovation, a degradation of artistic, cultural, and intellectual standards, or in fact the undermining of the very idea of a standard) while Korea’s journalists and civic groups are taking on powerful newspapers in a nationwide campaign for journalistic freedom.

In the past, there had been well known taboo subjects that were regarded as taboo also on newspaper pages – subjects like certain individuals’ afar accounts and their not-so-legal accumulation of wealth. No editor had agreed to work against freedom of the press because there had been no authoritative instruction/ directive from the owners to do so.

Corporate power in media is not letting things through, but it will take unity among media professionals, strong coalitions with the public at large, and political backbone to bring about change that will put quality journalism back on the news agenda, everywhere. This will also be beneficial for the organization itself as it increases the newspapers’ validity and credibility. Conveying or discussing a topic of peoples’ interest and of the nation which is in its best interests is what it is all about; it is freedom of thought and expression for everyone. Also, to act socially responsible and know its responsibility to people, an independent press provides a solid foundation for a free and transparent society.

spy

Well, if i would come to know that my best friend is a spy send by my parents, then i would rather snatch the title of her being my best friend- the reason being that she is not at all trust worthy. And then my parents sending someone to actually spy over me shows that they do not trust me. I would not have any problem with my parents sending someone to spy over me as i am confident over what i do and in any case i can justify my doings. I will only come to know the fact that my parents do not trust me and my best friend was not sincere.

Investigative journalism ethical or not

leave a comment »

The main purpose of investigative journalism is to uncover some hidden truth. I personally agree that investigative jouranlism is ethical as every time the hidden truth is uncovered it tells people something really important and most of the time that truth is for the betterment of the public and the society. Investigative journalism does good to larger number of people. And so for me its ethical.

well to me simply the spy freind will be an enemy to me. i will outburst my self on him, abuse him and probably even hit him because of his spying and reporting aganist me to my parents. at the same time i will be bit dissappointed on   my parents if they knew every thing then they should directly asked me that you are up to this, and i wouldn’t have minded that too. it would have made much easier for both of us to make a way out of that rather than spying on any one.

Investigative Journalism

Well to me it is completely unethical that my parents are spying on me. If they have something in their mind which they want to know then they have the fullest rights to ask me but spying is something very unethical because not only it would be an interference in my privacy but such an activity would also relate that they have lost their trust on me which must had bind them to take such a step.

INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM ETHICAL OR NOT?

leave a comment »

In my point of view investigative journalism is ethical because it involves a lot of eye opening yet very bad things written about the person who’s being investigated by the journalist. Investigative Journalists writes every bad n good thing revolving around his/her personal front. At times its good and eye opening but some journalists gets to personal they leave the issue behind and starts investigating on their personal life’s that is not good and its truly unethical also. In my point of view investigative journalism is about investigating the case not about investigating their personal life’s n doings. It doesn’t look good when you are taking your personal grudges through making them publicly embarrassed. I mean its better to keep their very personal things a secret n not publicized.

SPY!!!! MY OWN FRIEND?

leave a comment »

I will be very sad and angry that my own parents have sent a spy on me, I will simply go to my parents and ask them that why they did this whether they are that much possessive about me n they don’t trust me or what is the reason behind? And when they will tell me the reason n if the reason sounds right to me. I will not say them a word but certainly say them that they should have trusted me because trusting their own daughter will never lead her to choose the wrong path for herself.
